Ban The "N" Word Part I: Interview with Marc Marcel
May 06, 2007 01:07 PM PDT
After the now infamous racially insensitive statement from former radio talk show host Don Imus, which was directed towards the Rutgers University's women's basketball team, the whole country is on edge, as community leaders take a look at the language in Hip Hop music. There appears to be a movement to "Ban the 'N" Word" in music, but is this a form of censorship? Is the call for eliminating this word a positive or a negative? In our three part discussion of this topic, our first guest is spoken word artist Marc Marcel. He is an author of a novel and a poetry book, and he has 7 poetry CDs available.
